The second image in this series is, as promised, Kofi Annan. What a great man he is, helping to unite the world regardless of the lack of power in the traditional form. He replaces bullets with words and ideas and good ol' diplomacy, God love him. Hope you like it. I'm not totally satisfied with this image. I wasn't sure whether I should leave the small color picture of Annan in or not, so I just changed the opacity a bit and fit it in there somewhere. It can easily be removed if need be.
For the third image in the series I was thinking maybe someone with a more specialized impact on human rights. I am considering maybe Raphael Lemkin, although I predict it will be damn near impossible to find an adequately sized picture of him to do a 1028x1500 piece! Please please PLEASE give me some ideas! I'm WAY behind in my school work and I hardly have time to think for myself!
I really respect your intentions. If the world was full of people like you there wouldn't be war and hatred let alone genocide and other forms of persecution.
The UN does NOT help the peace process. ant the year of 2001 3 Isreali soldiers were kiddnaped by terrorists- in a car that was given to them by the UN, with the UN sign.
Ignorance of the public.
I think people expect the Secretary-General of the UN to be able to do everything. In reality, it's impossible; but you have to commend people like Annan who tried their damn hardest and did some truly fantastic things.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
