Inspired by one of *aspirine's pieces, I found a picture I had taken while hiking a year ago of a waterfall on the summer slopes of a local ski hill. (Marble Mountain, Newfoundland.) Please be gentle with your comments, the original image was taken with a 2.2 mp HP photosmart 620 which wasn't the greatest for detail shots.

When manipulating the image I did the red falls by making a color overlay of bright red with a hue blend mode. The rest of the scene was done the same way only with a white overlay color, and made slightly transparent so that the trees retained a hint of their original color. After all, we all need a hint of color in our lives, don't we? All but the water was given the Color Blur treatment courtesy of Nik Color Efex. Border done totally with the marquee tool, a calculator, and to opacity slider. Font is Tahoma. Saved for web as high quality jpeg with .2 blur and no matte. There, now you can make an identical image.
